Scott Eaton

Scott Eaton is an artist and designer residing in London, UK. His work combines elements of classical sculpture with contemporary themes and technology. Scott studied drawing and sculpture at the Florence Academy of Art, Italy, received his design and computer graphics education at the MIT Media Lab.

Scott is one of the pioneering artists in the field of digital sculpture, which combines traditional sculpting techniques with the power of digital tools and 3d-printing and other fabrication methods. Scott’s designs have been featured in Wired Magazine, Vogue, Vanity Fair, the Times, the Telegraph, and can be found in Harrods and other design shops around the world. His iconic Venus of Cupertino iPad docking station has inspired tens of thousands of blog posts, tweets, and Facebook likes.

In addition to his own work, Scott frequently collaborates with other artists and studios bringing his understanding of form, design, anatomy, and digital techniques to their projects. Recent collaborations include work with legendary artist Jeff Koons, Turner prize-winner Mark Wallinger, French crystal company Lalique, Nike, architect Asif Kahn for the Sochi Winter Olympics, and Academy Award winning visual effects studio Framestore.

Scott has had the benefit of learning from many of the best teachers in the world and is committed to sharing this knowledge with other artists and designers around the world. He is a renowned anatomy instructor and runs frequent courses, both online and in his London studio, on anatomy, portraiture, and digital sculpting. He regularly gives talks on his work and techniques, including recent lectures at the Tate Modern Museum, London.

When not busy with his art and design projects, Scott contributes his expertise in anatomy, digital sculpture and computer graphics to visual effects and game projects. His recent film contributions include World War Z, Spielberg’s War Horse, Wrath of the Titans, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Captain America, and Clash of the Titans.

Entertainment clients include Pixar, Industrial Light & Magic, Disney, LucasFilm, Valve, Sony, Microsoft Game Studios, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, and many other visual effects, animation and games studios.
