“Atelier” is the traditional French term for an art studio, and the word has come to be synonymous with the current resurgence of 19th century methods of art training.
At Sadie Valeri Atelier we cultivate a beautiful, supportive, and focused environment for the study of traditional realistic painting and drawing.
All levels are welcome! From beginners who love art and drawing but who have not had formal training, to experienced artists who want to gain a more solid grasp of fundamental principles.
The Atelier offers several options for study:
8 Flexible Intro Sessions
Designed for students who need a flexible schedule to attend classes. New students are introduced to our beginning exercises and continuing students get valuable practice time for 8 flexible sessions.

Access to the studio 1-7 days a week to study Cast Drawing and Still Life Painting, with discounted access to selected weekly Portrait and Figure classes.

Drawing and Painting classes in Figure, Portrait, Still Life and Cast are offered Weekdays, Weeknights, and Weekends
(All levels)Full Time Classical Figure Program
By application only: Exclusive month-long poses on weekday mornings, Monday thru Thursday, with Anatomy studies offered on Fridays. Acceptance into the Classical Figure Program is by review of a portfolio created during a year or more of guided study of Cast and Still Lifes.

We are developing a library of Videos to supplement instruction for current, local students as well as online learners.
(All levels)Traditional methods are an excellent foundation for beginners, and experienced artists will significantly advance their skills with these time-tested techniques. Our classes are for adults and mature teens.
