For more than two thousand years Rome has attracted artists from throughout the world.  Drawn by the richness of its cultural treasures, artists have used Rome  as a place to study, refine their abilities and participate in the great sweep of the western artistic tradition. This is as true today as it ever was.  Rome offers artists an unparalleled opportunity to study some of the greatest masterworks in painting, sculpture and architecture.

All workshops are held in the University of Washington’s Rome Center. In addition to its great location, the Rome Center provides beautifully proportioned studios with high ceilings, a library, a lounge and a knowledgeable office/support staff. The University of Washington’s Rome Center provides resources for educational programs in Rome and lots of help for finding hidden treasures in the city.
