I find cool stuff all the time that I’d like to share, but don’t have the time to write a full page article about.  Below I’ve listed some of the things I’ve come across during the past week.

Chris Legaspi’s Laws of Color

It’s pretty bold to call your course the “Laws of Color” since there are no definite rules when it comes to the subject.  I guess “suggestions” or “recommendations” don’t sound as cool though.

Chris Legaspi recently released vol. 2 in his series on color which, like vol. 1, is offered in a Photoshop, traditional oil, and bundled versions, as well as the “Ultra Premium” package that comes with instructor feedback.

Eventually I’ll get around to doing a full write-up of Chris’s instructional material, but for now, check it out here.

Aaron Blaise Annual Subscription

Former Disney Animator Aaron Blaise has been steadily releasing animation and drawing tutorials and is now offering an annual subscription that grants access to all of the content on his site.  On top of that, he will also have exclusive discounts for software, like TVPaint, and hardware (my guess would be Wacom tablets).

Reckless Deck

This might be useful for those interested in illustration and concept design.  It’s a deck of cards for idea generation.  Each card has a different word or set of words and are divided into different categories.  Shuffle the deck and deal a set of cards  Use the resulting combination as the starting point for your piece.  Talent not included.
